Warning of fraudulent emails

There have been fraudulent emails being sent out pretending to handle accommodation on behalf of the conference. These emails are not legitimate. Note that accommodation and other travel arrangements are up the individual and are not organized as part of the conference.

Visa invitation letter

Should you require an official invitation letter for a visa application, registered conference participant may send a request to info@icddps.org. To proceed, please provide the following information (as stated in your passport, if applicable):

  • your full name and gender
  • your private address (including country)
  • date of birth (day.month.year)
  • place of birth (city, country)
  • passport number
  • expiry date of passport (day.month.year)
  • nationality
  • your conference registration number

Invitation letters will be sent via e-mail. Note that an invitation letter can only be issued to registered participants.

Travel

The closest airport to Kiel is Hamburg Airport (HAM).

The drive by car from HAM to Kiel is approximately 1 hour.

To get from HAM to Kiel the options include:

  1. Kielius bus shuttle: approximately 1.5 hours directly from the airport to Kiel central
  2. Taxi services and Uber ride-share services
  3. Rental cars
  4. Public trains

Accommodation

There are no special rates implemented through the conference organizers. We recommend to arrange accommodation at your earliest convenience. Note that the hotels listed below are only recommendations. Additionally, some hotels (e.g., Hotel Berliner Hof, IntercityHotel Kiel) offer complementary tickets for the public transportation within the city center of Kiel.
